In Search of Dialogue with Shanlynne

But now even with everything that is going on , I know in my heart the next generation of children will lead us the right way to peace and love .

Meet the lovely Shanlynne aka @playfulmodernkids, mama to Adonis & Adonay from Nashville USA

Together with her husband she forms an ultra creative duo in photography, music & videography, bringing visuals from another prospective @imagenfotografi

We wanted to dig a little deeper with this inspiring lady and asked her some questions to start a dialogue.

What’s your philosophy on raising children in this day & age ?

From my perspective I think its harder during this time , when you’re a parent you want to shield and protect your children  from any negativity . But with all the technology of this generation and especially living in the USA it’s hard . Everything feels commercialized and the aesthetic of childhood fades away. We are too washed up in things that have no purpose but just for us to past time . I hope one day we can move somewhere we can get away from it all . Maybe considering going off the grid one day or living in a more cultural environment. But right now , I think it’s important for them to just be kids . Let them explore and learn .

Are you feeling broadly optimistic about humanity and the future of the planet?

This is a tricky question to me . Before I used to be in a dark place where I felt different types of feelings . But now even with everything that is going on , I know in my heart the next generation of children will lead us the right way to peace and love .

I have no doubt about this , we need to raise our children to be kind and happy humans .

What did you most enjoy doing as a child ? Is there something now in adulthood that gives you the same sense of pleasure?

My childhood was honestly just a big mess . But to me going through those times of struggle and pain at such an young helped me in my adulthood. I always felt that I never had a normal childhood but I feel like now that I have children, I can relive and share the childhood I’ve always wanted to have.

Name three works of art that mean a lot to you .

I honestly don’t have a “favorite” of anything. I guess art means something to me depending on the message it’s trying to prove or how I’m feeling. But music is something I love most , I’m very diverse with what I listen to! One day I can be listening to Cèu or Led Zeppelin and the next day I’ll be listening to trap music .
